Our Experience & Photos from when we visited. This article gives you an idea of what to expect at Maya Chan.
Maya Chan Beach Resort is located four miles south of the busy Port of Costa Maya. It is an all-inclusive beach break that offers both food & drink included in the price. Maya Chan will secure a spot in the shade, as this Costa Maya location reserves your spot ahead of time and holds it for you until you arrive. They offer glass bottom kayaks that are available for use all day, as well as our complimentary snorkel gear. Lunch is served fresh and hot off the grill, when you are ready to eat, not on a preplanned schedule.
We last visited Maya Chan in January 2022. It was our first time visiting. Our experience at Maya Chan was wonderful. This was by far one of my top favorite places to go. When you book the reservation they arrange for you to be picked up outside the port and when they bring you back they deliver you inside the port. When Booking the reservation, they will give you a location outside the port to meet them at. Now this is a little bit of a walk but way worth it I promise. Once you reach the spot you are directed by a Maya Chan host to a spot to seat and wait so that they can pick all the guest going to Maya Chan with you at that designated time. It was not a long wait before a bus arrived from Maya Chan with another Maya Chan host to take us to our destination. It was a little bit of a ride to the beach and a little bumpy in a few places along the way but we really enjoyed all the sights along the way. But we also love sightseeing so.
Once we arrived at the beach everyone was directed to a dining area where we were introduced to the staff, given a little history of the place, & told what time lunch would be served as well as that a waiter would be around throughout the stay to offer us free drinks. We were also informed of the other amenities available for extra cost such as massage, other alcoholic drinks not offered on the menu, and various watersports (included in the price) available for use. After that we were taken by our waiter to be seated in our spot and were offered our first round of free drinks. The waiter was pretty good at bringing more. I felt like he was always offering another before I even finished my last one. The are we were given was really nice. It included two chairs, two chairs that laid back and two table under a wooden Canopy. Behind us we had a wooden like bed to lay out in the sun and a hammock. They even had a nice little sign in our area that said welcome Smiths. Since we went in January the water was still a bit cold for us so we mostly enjoyed our vacation on the beach laying in the sun and drinking our Drinks. They also offered us chips and salsa to enjoy while we were waiting on lunch to be served. Once Lunch was ready our waiter informed us and we were directed to the dining area were we first came in. We were given various types of taco (chicken, beef, pork) with handmade flour or corn tortilla shells. They also offered various forms of dips & salsas as well. We could eat them back in our area or the dining area. We opted for the dining area. It was very good food and we could eat as much as we wanted.
Drinks offered there included margaritas, wines, Daiquiris, and so much more. I couldn’t find a menu to post for you but trust me there was quite a bit to choose from.
After lunch we enjoyed a nice 30-minute massage a piece which was about $30.00 each. The massage was offered in a nice quite closed of area and only the two of us were present. It was nice and well worth the money. It was a very good price compared to the price to get a massage on the ship and in port.
Once we were done there we went back to our area where we drink and enjoyed the beach for the rest of our trip. Our waiter came around about 1pm that evening to ask what time we wanted to go back to our ship and let us know the latest time we could go back and not miss our boat. We opted to go back a little early as we wanted to explore the port. About 30 minutes before our taxi arrived to take us back to port our waiter came around to inform us that our taxi would be arriving in 30 minutes. We packed up our belonging and waited in the dining are for the taxi to arrive. Our taxi ride back was just as nice and we shared our taxi with a nice couple. Of course, my husband had had a lot to drink and was quite drunk so he was a joy for myself and the other people riding with us. He made everyone laugh the entire ride back to port. It was a great and very fun experience for us and if we ever visit Maya Chan again we will definitely be going back there. I highly recommend you check it out.

To book this beach club you have to make a reservation in advance. You may do this by visiting Maya Chan Beach Resort and clicking on Reservations. It cost $69.00 a person for adults. You must pay it all in advance when booking the reservation. You will complete the form and make your payment securely through PayPal. They will email you a confirmation and email instruction for your reservation and where to meet. If something happens and you need to cancel they offer a full refund. Book your trip today, you will be so glad you did.
