As the saying goes, once you cruise You’ll keep wanting to cruise again and again. But What makes cruising so fun or special? Well If you’ve never cruised before then you may be wondering that exact question. Here is why I believe cruising is the best vacation as well as the best way to travel to multiple destinations.

Cruising is an Escape from the World

Cruising helps you to relax and unwind. You can use this time to escape from the world, your job, Heck even the kids if you have a good babysitter & can leave them at home, or You can even bring them along as many ships offer a place for kids so you can still enjoy & relax. The choices are endless.
There is nothing like being on a ship and watching as you sail away from land. Your biggest worry on a ship is what am I going to do next?

You Get An Amazing Crew and Service

On a cruise vacation you get to enjoy both an amazing crew and service. Your room is always clean, and you’re every need is looked after. You don’t even have to pay a fortune for it. The best part is that the crew take the time to get to know you. Things like what you prefer to drink. What time of day you want your room to be cleaned. Even if you want a fresh bucket of ice and when.
The crew is always so helpful, welcoming, and extremely friendly. It’s like they truly love being there and enjoy their job. My husband once said he thought they always smiled as he had never seen a crew member not smiling.

They offer Something for Everyone

You will never get bored on a cruise. There are so many things to do that often you feel as if there is never enough time to get it all done. We found this especially true on our last cruise on Carnival Mardi Gras. There was so much we didn't even get to and parts of the ship we didn’t even have time to fully enjoy.
However, Not all cruise lines are the same. While all of them will have something for everyone they all offer different experiences. Explore different ones or ask around to find out which company or cruise ship you prefer the best.

Free & Specialty Cruise food

There is nothing like free Food and cruise ships offer a large selection of free food. They even offer Specialty restaurants for a price. I have to say in our years of crying we’ve always enjoyed the MDR as they’ve always had some great food. While we have tried some specialty restaurants especially when we sailed on Carnival Mardi Gras there is nothing like free food. There are so many places we could never eat it all.
It is definitely possible to gain weight on a cruise so be cautious as cruises have earned a reputation for this. There are so many different and new dishes to try and enjoy that you may not regularly eat at home. Trust me the food is to die for both free & specialty.

They offer Exciting Itineraries

For those of you who love to travel, cruising is a great way to experience and see multiple destinations on your Bucket List. Cruise lines offer exciting itineraries. You can take a beach day in one port and then enjoy a bit of history in the next. Many cruise lines even offer overnight destinations where you can stay in port overnight and explore the port even more.
It’s the absolute best way to see the world and it won't cost you a fortune.

You Only Have Unpack Only Once Or Not At All

The best part about cruising is that you only have to unpack once. Unless you're my husband then you can just leave everything in your suitcase and use it when you need it. He never unpacks. I swear he leaves out of it the entire trip.
Whichever option you choose, you don’t have to unpack and repack every time you go to a different port. Unless of course you opt for a land tour then of course you’ll probably have to live out of your suitcase for a few days while on land overnight.
Cruise ships usually sail to their next port overnight, while you are sound asleep in your cabin or partying it up so no need to lug your suitcase from port to port. It remains safely in your cabin while you get to enjoy each port. This is why a cruise is the best way to travel.

Cruising is a Great Value

Many people believe cruises to be an expensive vacation. I even thought this once myself until I priced a 3 night sandals trip for 2 to Jamaica compared to a 7 day cruise that not only got to go to Jamaica but Cozumel, Mexico and The Grand Caymans as well. This is a big misconception. Cruising is a great value and many Like Celebrity now offer many add ons included.
Cruisers with families often find that cruising is much less expensive than many land vacations. There are even tons of activities and kid’s club to entertain kids that helps to make for a great vacation for all.
You’ll save so much money cruising that you’ll be able to cruise more often!! Plus trust me you’ll want to!!

Shore Excursions, Activities, Exploring, & Shopping

While being at Sea is fun as there is often so much to do at sea, it is also exciting to wake up at a different port. While in port, there are so many activities, excursions, exploring, and shops to take advantage of.
Many excursions and activities can be purchased through your cruise line, travel agent or through reputable shore excursion groups online or sometimes even in port. You can enjoy Sightseeing, Beaches, shopping, snorkeling, and so much more in port. There are so many adventures to be had when cruising you’ll wonder where all the time went.

You Can Make New Friends

Most cruise ships have 3000 or more people on board. This means there are so many people you can connect and meet with or not. However, the choice is all yours. But if you enjoy meeting new people you’ll definitely be in your element.
Learn New Skills & Enjoy Games
While cruising, you have the opportunity to learn new things. You can sign up for cooking classes, Salsa classes, learn origami, and so much more. You even have the chance to play games or participate in Trivia. The chances to learn both on the ship or in port are endless.

The Chance to Disconnect

While you can definitely purchase wi-Fi while onboard, You have the choice not to or to put your phone away. You can opt to only look at it a few times a day or only at a certain time each day. However, You can disconnect from the world and enjoy being out in the middle of the ocean or exploring a new place you’ve never seen before.

You Can Make Memories

Whether you bring your kids on a cruise or experience a romantic getaway or anniversary with your spouse you have the chance to make some wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
Plus for families, there is no easier vacation or more fun than a family cruise. Kids and adults both will love it. They’ll all agree that cruising is the best vacation ever!
For adults, Cruises are the best romantic vacation. Together you can experience sunsets and sunrises at seas, romantic dinners for two, and Exciting new adventures together. There Are No Fly Cruises

Just because you are cruising doesn’t mean you have to fly. This in fact is why many people will avoid cruises as they don’t like to fly. However, Cruise allows you to travel by ship and not by air.
Many cruise lines offer cruise ports within a few hours drive from where you live giving you the opportunity to drive yourself there, take a train, or even bus if you plan the trip well enough in advance to allow time to get there before the ship leaves.

Many Cruisers want to sit and enjoy a cocktail in a nice bar as soon as they board. On a cruise ship there are bars everywhere and lots of opportunities too. Drinks on a cruise are awesome and the atmosphere is enjoyable.
There is a bar for everyone on a cruise. You’ll be sure to find your favorite or two in no time at all. Even if you don’t drink alcohol, you can sit and have a virgin drink and take in the atmosphere and enjoy being with friends.
