A travel agent DOES NOT charge you to book ever. We work with multiple cruise lines and multiple destinations even non cruise land vacations including Disney. I think a lot of people misunderstand what travel agents do. Yes, we quote and book vacations. Yes, we make personalized itineraries and plans for you. Yes, this costs you NOTHING extra over booking it yourself.  What we don't do is get paid if you don't book with us. We are not paid an hourly wage.   A Little History Of Nassau Nassau - Timeline Photo Credit: Pixels Circa 500 to 800 AD - Lucayans (Arawakan-speaking Taino people) arrived in the Bahamas. 1492 - As many as 40,000 Lucayans lived in the Islands. 1500's - Spanish capture and send Lucayans to work in Hispaniola. 1520 - Spain evacuated the last 11 Lucayans. The Bahamas becomes uninhabited for 130 years. 1648 - William Sayle led a group of Puritans from Bermuda establishing settlements on Eleuthera; these early colonists moved on to Sayle's island, latter renamed New Providence 1670 - Charles II of England issued an ownership deed of the Bahamas to the "Proprietors of Carolina". 1671 - New Providence had 913 residents: 257 men, 243 women and 413 slaves. 1672 - Charles Town fort is built. 1684 - Spanish attacked and burned Charles Town; most British settlers fled to Jamaica; pirates take over. 1686 - Exiled settlers in Jamaica return to New Providence. 1694 - Ordinance of Proprietors established Nass

Virgin Voyages Drops Pre Cruise Testing

  Beginning July 24th In Europe & July 27th in the U.S. Virgin Voyages will no longer be requiring pre cruise testing for COVID to cruise. Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL), Royal Caribbean International (RCL), and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH). Report have not yet dropped the precruise-covid-test requirement. With Virgin dropping the precruise covid test, the other major cruise lines seem likely to follow -- perhaps as soon as when they announce August protocols. Currently, there’s only one cruise ship terminal in Nassau, “Prince George Wharf” which is on the northern side of the island. You can access every beach on the Island from here and is very easy.  Here are the best free beaches Nassau has to offer. Junkanoo Beach If your looking for a nice beach close to the cruise port, then look no further as Junkanoo Beach is just that. This beach is within walking distance of the cruise port.
